Beatriz Sotelo

She is 28 and comes to us from Ardan Marín (Pontevedra). She holds the title of Senior Technical Studies from the School of Restoration by Carlos Oroza of Pontevedra. She is the right hand person to Marcelo Tejedor, and is proud to have been able to find another way to assess the kitchen and, above all, the product.

After continuing her training with Toni Vicente, she creates exquisite cuisine using seasonal produce next to Juan Manuel Crujeiras in the restaurant "The Station”. Sotelo projects in her kitchen the strength and vitality with which she lives.

She was named Chef of the Year 2008 after beating seven chefs in the grand final of this prestigious competition, being the only woman selected among the 80 chefs who reached eight semifinals contested throughout the country, with over a thousand entries.

In 2009 she is awarded her first Michelin star."My cooking is as I showed it in the final: clean, simple and using seasonal product, where flavor is the main protagonist," she says.
