Sebastian Frank

Chef of the restaurant Horváth, is the chef of the year 2012. In the first edition of the contest he had proved successful against a total of 400 competitors from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. For his career, including stops at the restaurant and the restaurant Steirereck Chef's table in the Inter-Hotel Tyrol. Just a month after his international victory was the 1981 election, born in Berlin his first star in time for his 30th Birthday.

"For me, it was clear that we are very far from receiving a star. After all, we are in a small team and are a modest, unpretentious restaurant. We do not even have tablecloths, "says the Lower Austrian his surprise.

Sebastian Frank's style is largely influenced by the traditional Austrian cuisine, though he admits the taste and the simplicity of the products a top priority. In the new interpretation by the courts it is the memory of the food of his childhood as inspiration. "I try to reflect this taste, and sometimes I surprise myself how I revert back to the flavors," he explains.
