The stars of Chefservices, will cook for Buenafuente

April 12, 2012

Sagardi Basque Chefs and the winners of the first four editions of Chef of the Year as well as the winner of our german edition Koch des Jahres (Jordi Cruz, Beatriz Sotelo, José Carlos Fuentes, Víctor Rodrigo y Sebastian Frank), will take control of the ‘Green Room’ kitchen that will host the guests and stars of the new weekly show of Andreu Buenafuente, on Antena 3 TV.

A star studded show requires a host, special guests and collaborators of prestige. This is what the producers of “El Terrat” believe and therefore will hire the services of Sagardi Basque Chefs and Chef of the year to run the “Green Room” space which will host and entertain the special guests of the new program of Andreu Buenafuente, on Antena 3 Television.

Thus, the personalities that visit the new show Buenafuente (which will air on prime time on Sunday April 15) will enjoy the delicacies prepared by the traditional basque kitchen of Sagardi Baque Chefs as well as chefs such Jordi Cruz (rest. ‘Abac’ of Barcelona, 2 Michelin stars, and rest. ‘L´Angle’ in Sant Fruitós de Bages, 1 Michelin star), Beatriz Sotelo (rest. ‘A Estación’, in Cambre, A Coruña, 1 Michelin star), José Carlos Fuentes (rest. ‘Tierra’ of Toledo, 2 Repsol suns) and Víctor Rodrigo (rest. ‘Samsha’ of Valencia), winners of the four editions of Chef of the Year and Sebastian Frank (winner of the first edition of Koch des Jahres, sister contest of Chef of the Year, chef of rest. ‘Horvath’of Berlin, 1 Michelin star).

After several weeks and hundreds of possibilities, the catalán host and comic´s new show ill be called ‘Buenas noches y Buenafuente’, a “groundbreaking and original title”,  jokes Buenafuente in a videoblog through Antena 3 TV. Next to José Corbacho and Berto Romero, among other actors, Buenafuente returns to Planeta station, previously his home, to host this weekly program, live and prime time, broadcast from Barcelona. Buenafuente y and his faithful collaborator Berto Romero, who will also co-direct this space, ended their late night program on June of last year on Sexta TV, after 964 episodes.

Sagardi Basque Chefs is a concept inspired by the ancient basque taverns, spaces in which to share the best ciders and country wines alongside basque cuisine. Its menu is closely linked to the land and to seasonal product, made with traditional approaches and a touch of creativity, and includes typical basque récipes and a great variety of pintxos from San Sebastián, always evolving and one of the most endearing components of the culinary experience of Basque Country. Sagardi´s tapas bar offers a variety of more than 80 different tapas that combine the traditional with the modern.
