Ada Parellada

Belongs to a family with the greatest tradition in Catalan restoration. She currently co-owns three restaurants: Semproniana, Pla dels Angels in Barcelona and Petra.

Without departing from the day day of her restaurants, she has become a real expert on all matters relating to children's food. Since 1999, she has been organizing a weekly cooking workshop for children at one of her restaurants and has published 12 books on gastronomy and infant cuisine, her last book “It´s easy to make them eat everything” (Sigma, 2007).

She has collaborated with the Health Program of the Department of Education of the Generalitat of Catalonia giving classes on nutrition, food culture and eating disorders, combining all this with participation in multiple training programs for others.

Moreover, thanks to her great communication skills, she actively participates in all kinds of events around food and works in various cooking programs for television, radio and newspapers.

Actively involved in workshops in schools and colleges with an emphasis on the importance of good nutrition and the impact in the daily life of students and teachers.

Currently working on a project on education of taste, intended primarily for children, youth and parents. Her theory is based on the fact that food should be considered an act of fun, playful and healthy. The project aims to discover the composition of good nutrition through workshops, games, food handling, cultural backgrounds of the products, etc. The basic goal of this project is to improve the quality of life through the acquisition of good eating habits.
